1. The Promoter

This competition (“Competition”) is promoted by R & D Trading Enterprises CC t/a Wenbro Hire, registration number CK89/000601/23, of 18 Platinum Street, Polokwane, (“Wenbro” or “the Promoter”).

2. The Competition

To celebrate Heritage Day, Wenbro is giving away two (2) Wenbro-made braais — one to a winner from Wenbro’s Pretoria branch, and one to a winner from Wenbro’s Polokwane branch.

3. Competition Period

The Competition runs from 00:00 on 1 September 2026 to 23:59 on 19 September 2026 (the “Competition Period”).

4. How to Enter

4.1  Entry is automatic and specific to the branch a customer transacts at. Any walk-in customer who hires or purchases equipment in-store at Wenbro’s Pretoria branch during the Competition Period is automatically entered into the Pretoria draw; any walk-in customer who hires or purchases equipment in-store at Wenbro’s Polokwane branch during the Competition Period is automatically entered into the Polokwane draw. No separate entry form, action or payment is required beyond the ordinary price of the equipment hired or purchased.

4.2  A customer receives one entry per qualifying transaction, so a customer who transacts more than once at the same branch during the Competition Period receives multiple entries in that branch’s draw.

4.3  Online, telephonic and delivery-only orders do not qualify. Only in-store, walk-in transactions count towards entry.

4.4  There is no minimum spend — any in-store hire or purchase, of any value, qualifies for entry.

5. Who May Enter

Entrants must be 18 years or older and legally resident in South Africa.

6. Who May Not Enter

The following persons may not enter, and may not receive the Prize, even if otherwise selected: directors, members, partners, employees, agents or consultants of Wenbro, or of any business that controls or is controlled by Wenbro, and the immediate family members of any of the above; and any supplier of goods or services in connection with this Competition.

7. The Prizes

7.1  The Prizes are two (2) Wenbro Mobile Braais, manufactured by Wenbro — one awarded to the Pretoria winner and one to the Polokwane winner — each valued at approximately R 850 (incl. VAT).

7.2  Neither Prize is transferable, exchangeable or redeemable for cash, in whole or in part, and the two Prizes may not be combined or exchanged between winners.

7.3  Should circumstances beyond Wenbro’s control require it, Wenbro reserves the right to substitute either Prize with an item of similar value.

8. Determining the Winners

8.1  Two winners will be selected: the Pretoria winner will be chosen by random draw from all qualifying entries received at the Pretoria branch during the Competition Period, and the Polokwane winner will be chosen by random draw from all qualifying entries received at the Polokwane branch during the Competition Period.

8.2  Both draws will take place on or before 21 September 2026, overseen by an independent accountant, auditor, attorney or advocate appointed to oversee the draws, who is independent of Wenbro, as required by the CPA Regulations.

9. Notifying and Announcing the Winners

9.1  Each winner will be contacted directly using the details provided at the time of their qualifying transaction, within five working days of the relevant draw.

9.2  Both winners’ names will also be announced via Wenbro’s Facebook Page before 24 September 2026.

9.3  If Wenbro is unable to reach a winner, or a winner does not claim their Prize, within 20 days of being notified, Wenbro reserves the right to select an alternative winner for that branch by way of a further random draw.

9.4  Each winner may be asked to permit the use of their name and image in Wenbro’s marketing material, or to be present when their Prize is handed over. Each winner has the right to decline any such request without forfeiting their Prize.

10. Collecting the Prize

10.1  Each winner must collect their Prize from the branch at which they won, and must present valid identification, within 20 days of being notified:

10.2  Each winner will be asked to sign an acknowledgement confirming receipt of their Prize.

11. Use of Personal Information

11.1  Wenbro will use the name and contact details collected at the time of a qualifying transaction only to administer this Competition — to verify entries, conduct the draws and contact and announce the winners — in line with Wenbro’s Privacy Policy and the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).

11.2  If those entered into the competition wish not to have their details used for future marketing, they reserve the right to request the deletion of this data as per the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).

12. General

12.1  By transacting in-store during the Competition Period, entrants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

12.2  Wenbro’s decision on all matters relating to the Competition is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

12.3  Should circumstances beyond its reasonable control require it, Wenbro reserves the right to amend or withdraw the Competition at any time, in accordance with the Consumer Protection Act.

13. Access to These Rules

A free copy of these rules is available on request at any Wenbro branch, by emailing juan@wenbrohire.co.za, or at https://www.wenbrohire.co.za/competition-ts-cs. A copy will also be provided to the National Consumer Commission on request, and will be retained for at least three years after the Competition ends.
